Thorndon School: Te Kura o Pipitea



Fixed Term Year 7/8 Position 

We are seeking to appoint a Fixed Term teacher to join the Year 7/8 Team of our kura from Monday, 23 July, finishing at the end of 2018. This vacancy has arisen on account of a teacher taking discretionary leave.

In this challenging role you will be part of a three teacher teaching team. Our three Year 7/8 teachers work collaboratively, planning and teaching together. Your teaching knowledge and experience will make a significant contribution to sustaining an environment where all students prosper. You will be entering a dynamic environment where the development and wellbeing of the students is paramount.  You will be fully involved in all aspects of school life.

It would be advantageous to have had some experience in teaching in the Year 7/8 area.  You will embrace collaborative teaching as during most periods of the day the teachers in this syndicate team teach.
